I have had the Level 4 Rec for 3 months now. About 900 miles on it. Wow! It has absolutely changed my life. Before I had an e-bike, I barely rode a bike. On my street and that's it. Now, I'm riding 5, 10, 15, and even 20 miles a day. Going out and exploring the town, going on fun trails, and everything in between. The comfort is good(after I moved the handlebars back), especially because of the front fork and suspension seat post. The suspension definitely doesn't feel like a cheap one you can get from Amazon! Great power and torque; I love how it gives you a kick when the motor starts, but the bike is so amazing that you can tune it to your preferences. The frame, geometry, rear rack, and everything else is just amazing. If you are on edge to buy the Level 4 Rec, I recommend just buying it. Aventon also has great customer support. At one point my seatpost started moving in a bad way. We reached out to aventon, and they quickly sent us a new one under warranty. Also, a few days after buying our bike, they started giving out locks and bottle holders for free with a bike purchase. We reached out to aventon, and they once again quickly sent the lock/water bottle holder to us. I would give this bike 10 stars if I could!!!

Just a few tips for the next level generation:
-make the stock headlight a little more powerful, like the 500 lumen headlight you offer to buy; 300 lumen is still good, but it's more for other people to see you then for a rider to see the road
-offer an option to get knobby tires, the flat tires are good for the road but some people ride more trails and would like more grippy tires, but the flat tires are still good
-give the option to make the turn signals have a sound when blinking, could help people who ride in the city often

None of these tips are even close to deal breakers, just a few suggestions that could improve later Aventon bikes. Once again, I lover this bike, and would give it 10 stars if I could. Thank you Aventon!

I’m really impressed with my Aventon Pace 5 REC. It rides wonderfully—the torque sensor blends the electric assist with your pedaling smoothly and naturally, and the upright riding position is very comfortable.

The technology is a big plus: GPS tracking, electronic locking, a great display, regenerative braking, turn signals, brake lights and a powerful front light. I also love the throttle. I don’t use it much, but it’s great for getting started from a stop, especially uphill.

I’ve already received a software update, which is encouraging because it means the bike can continue to improve over time.

My only minor complaints are that I’d like a more comfortable seat with some shock absorption, and the transition from throttle to pedaling could be a little smoother. It’s also a heavy bike when moving it around, but you really don’t notice the weight once you’re riding.

What really stands out is the value. This is a mid-priced e-bike—not cheap, but certainly not insanely expensive—and it has the ride, technology and features I’d expect from bikes costing considerably more.

I’m extremely happy with my purchase. The Pace 5 REC feels like Aventon found a great balance between price, comfort, technology and overall quality.

I live my Aventon Aventure 3. I truly believe this bike brand is underrated. Easy assembly, all the bells and whistles I was looking for, and it's a solid bike for the price point.

Great power, makes hills easy Love all the security features that I didn't have on my Level 1 and 2. The ability to switch between cadence and torque sensors is one of the main reasons I got the bike. Only drawback: the alarm is barely above background noise, about 15-20 decibels. Needs to be a lot louder.

I love this bike. It has a very smooth ride and comfortable.

The adventure 3 step through is all fun...how exciting it is to own this e-bike. Quality, Fit and Function right out of the box.This e- bike gets all my attention. Very happy with Aventon and all they have to offer.

Bought this ebike expecting to make my commutes faster and less exhausting than my regular bike. This ebike cut down a 25min ride to a 16min ride and made hills feel like nothing. Range is phenomenal especially when i go downhill and use the regenerative coasting to capture back some energy. Had a few rainy days and the bike performed well and felt planted on the city streets with the stock tires. Front suspension, seat suspension, rear rack, front+rear fenders, integrated lights, tab throttle and copious amounts of tech + security features truly make this ebike a bang for the buck and commuters dream.

I absolutely love this bike, I ride it to work every day on a combination of paved trail and dirt trail about 2 1/2 miles each way. I have never had an issue even when I take it out on the weekends for 35+ mile rides. I’m lucky enough to live in one of the premier mountain biking destinations in the United States. The only thing I would say is I am a rider within above average weight I weigh about 320 pounds and the seat continually bottoms out on me. I have learned to ride with that and expecte when it’s coming. Outside of that there’s nothing bad I could ever say about this bike 10 out of 10 if not better every day!

Exceeded my expectations! This thing is amazing.

This is a great bag! It holds a decent amount of emergency tools and parts in case anything breaks down. I can also put in rain gear and several layers in case the weather changes during the ride. It also holds several granola bars, banana. energy drink, etc.
Definitely get the Quick Connect plate, makes it very easy to take the bag off and on. Highly recommend!
PS. Buy longer, Philips head screws before you start to install the adaptor. it will save you an hour of frustration.

I needed a reliable Ebike for my daily commute, but I practically carry my house on my back to and fro. Got recommended the Abound LR and haven't looked back. Local bike shop added the necessary accessories (phone holder, portable bike pump, water bottle cage etc.), and I'd give it ten stars if I could! Happy trips!

I purchased my Level 4 ADV in June of 2026 (hard to find) and haven’t looked back. It replaced a rear drive bike with 2,500 miles on it from another company and the difference is astounding. The bike is incredibly comfortable, quiet, and has plenty of power when you need it. I ride almost exclusively in the ECO mode and it feels great. I use my bike to commute to work, hauling a RTIC soft sided cooler on the rear rack, riding through city streets, gravel bike paths and a couple of steep hills along the way.

I have put approx. 350 miles on it since purchase with zero issues. I’d say I typically get approx. 70-80 miles per battery charge, but that includes the occasional SPORT mode along a straight stretch when riding to work and BOOST when riding up a particular hill in traffic. I live in the suburbs of Seattle with plenty of hills so that also eats away at the range compared to the “maximum range” in a flatter environment. None-the-less, the bike is incredibly efficient and I’m not going to complain about 80 miles. I’m not a fan of the “AUTO” gear shifting and power output options (a bit gimmicky) so I stick to manual shifting.

I have had the chance to ride much more expensive and comparable e-bikes made from competitors, but the Level 4 ADV stands up to the competition. The mid-drive motor is a game changer, so efficient and quiet! There is a difference when riding a mid-drive e-bike vs a rear drive throttle driven bike so I recommend test riding if you have that option before purchase. Haven’t ridden a bike in 35 years. Took mine out for a test ride with my wife on another one. I haven’t experienced the kid like giggles like that in a long time. Bought them right away and brought ours home to our rural home. We ride miles and miles on gravel every day and are having the time of our lives. A wonderful break in our day and our go to weekend fun.

I own a Rambo savage ebike it has 26x4 tires and mid drive it’s a beast. I was always uncomfortable with the lean forward and straight bars. I tried to raise the bars but it was still uncomfortable. After about 15 minutes my back and wrists would hurt. I saw these online and thought I would give them a try. They changed out very easily with my standard equipment on my Rambo and they worked perfect. Just picture sitting on the bike straight up and raising your hands and they rest perfectly on these new bars. Good bye straight bars! I can now enjoy my ride in comfort. Highly recommend these bars.

Stellar packaging, and the bike (Adventure 3) quality appears outstanding as well.
Thirty miles so far and zero issues and anticipating many issue free miles.

I bought this bike 10 days ago. I come from a road cycling background and Time Trial racing. I needed a pacemaker inserted this past February. I decided to go e-bike to provide a buffer for my new heart situation. After looking at many options I settled on the Level 4 ADV. I got the step thru since it was all the dealers had locally. I’m very happy with the step thru. I’m using the bike for training rides to get back into great shape. I hope Aventon eventually comes out with a true road e-bike that is 30 lbs or less. I’ll be on that ASAP and use the Level 4 for bad weather or errands.

Talk about some neat features the pace 5 rec is really neat so cool that you can choose between the two sensors on the bike

Adventure 3 delivered today. I'm moderately handy. Took me about 45 minutes to get it assembled. Battery had 59%. Updated the firmware (5ish minutes). Couldn't wait to charge it. I just went out. Plugged back in now. OMG. The App and the Control Panel are phenomenal. I played with the assist modes and the throttle. It's just so fun. I'm off tomorrow and planning a longer ride to an easy trail. This is my first ebike. I'm 6'1" 230ish. Large is a fit with room to spare. Aventon didn't even prompt me to drop a review in. Just had to confirm the online reviews and these website reviews. This bike is amazing.

I purchased the REC 4 as I had previously been impressed using another model on vacation
The REC 4 is a great bike for suburban and urban driving and as well with acceleration on hills and makes riding a breeze. The four boost level levels enable you to ride with a level of assist to your own choosing. Very satisfied with the purchase.

I am really happy with how this bike works and am enjoying riding it very much! The automatic gear change option is awesome. Thank you!
